As I madly run through the site one last time, trying to ignore the Super Bowl in the background, desperately seeking out the last few bugs that still need squashing, I ask myself: Why did I give myself such a short deadline on Super Bowl weekend?
The answer, of course, is simple. I work best under a deadline, and the impending launch of the updated FPZ platform has me nervous enough that I'm looking extra-hard for those last-minute show-stoppers. It looks like the Steelers and Packers are making this a great Super Bowl (based on what I hear my wife yelling at me from the living room once in a wahile), but I can't afford to get distracted.
Since I have to test this new blog functionality before we can bring it live, I may as well use this opportunity to write my own blog entry and keep the world up to date on our plans and progress so far. If any of you are paying attention to dev.friendlyphotozone.com, then you've witnessed a host of changes recently. Not just in functionality, but in workflow and design too. We've learned a lot of lessons from running FPZ over these last months, and we're trying very hard to apply those lessons learned in this latest renovation.
