I've been saving up for a Fujifilm X100 for a little while now.
However, they just brought out this little beauty so I need to save a bit more! I think it is a very capable and attractive, retro-styled shooter; but in black it is absolutely gorgeous! Now I really want one! |

So the new X-Pro1 isn't what you'd prefer instead?
I believe I read there will be only a few thousand of those black X100's on the market. And considering the original X100 is almost always sold out everywhere, I'm not sure what your best recourse is to get your hands on a black one. |

That's not where my interest lie at this point but I have to say, that it's one sexy camera. Hope you get one and show it what it can do.

I've been reading up on the new X-Pro1 and I believe you nailed it! Wow! Now that's more like it! (I'll see how much money my eBay sales generate but I should be able to afford the X-Pro1 and the 3 prime lenses. I'm tired of storing equipment and I'm not starting up a museum any time soon either. This stuff has to go! To date I've auctioned and sold 8 lenses and a couple of small high pressure regulators and have earned $1100. Coming up next on eBay are 8 assorted SLR cameras and 2 more lenses. Then the oddball TLR, folder and assorted collectable rangefinders will go. And ultimately the K-5 and all the lenses are going on the auction block too.) |

Just so you're aware, Fuji plans to release a less-expensive variant of the X-Pro1 with the same lens mount. So if the cost of the X-Pro1 seems a bit out of reach, you could wait for that one. My guess is it won't have an optical viewfinder, just an EVF one.
Keep in mind there will likely be some kind of Pentax adapter for the X-mount, and it might be mostly-functional (ie. support for automatic metering, but still manual focus). But if you do end up selling off your Pentax lenses, keep me in mind when you get to the D-FA 100mm macro! And perhaps the DA 10-17mm fish-eye too... |

Maybe I'll go back to my original plan; buying an X100.

Henry's called last night.
They finally have an X100 at the local store. Going today between shifts. I can't say for sure that I'll buy it. First I want to hold it and take it for a test drive. If it's 'love at first sight', I'm bringing it home! |

I'm still wading through the manual.
One thing for certain; I love this hybrid viewfinder! It is so very bright and clear and full of information, yet not cluttered. Really a treat to look through. I know .... you want pics. ....soon. |

Toyz!
While it is of course, up to you Jeff, I prioritize pics shot with the camera before pics shot of the camera. Preferably to my tastes, pics shot in the dimmest light there is. |
