Ah, Spring! The promise of new growth, green grass and warm weather!

We had a strong rain/wind storm Saturday night. We had a fire in the fireplace, some family over, and went to bed glad to have a roof over our head and a dry place to sleep. This morning we discovered that our nice acacia tree (about 30-40 tall, was toppled and leaning against our neighbor's fence as it's root system just failed in the wet soil and strong winds. I'll have to deal with this over the coming week. The tree is a loss and will have to be removed. We will miss it and plant another.

Ok, here it is, my first shot of spring.

Sorry about your tree, BCB. Good thing the accident didn't cause more damage, but it's a little sad to lose an old friend like that.

Yes, it was the friend that kept the neighbors from seeing us skinny dipping in the hot tub (and night, mind you). But that might be to much information here.

it snowed this morning signs of Spring are receding a bit.

It also snowed here today. But most of it melted and turned to slop quickly.

My first picture was of a pen that I snapped in the café, after dark, to demonstrate depth of field issues. I shall not be posting it. I don't think I even kept it.

This is a nice shot. I like the 3 areas of focus and the green bokeh background is buttery smooth. Very spring-like image!
