Nice set there Mike. You've got those skylines down rock solid. The rock looks cool too. Quite a horizon.

At the request of Mongooz I'm posting this B&W landscape.

It's a view from Knox Mountain, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada shot earlier this week.
I was using a Pentax Spotmatic with a Vivitar Series 1, 50mm f1.7 lens and testing Kodak ISO400 C-41 film (which can be developed in any 1 hour lab.
A photograph can be a Beautiful thing.

This has a nice feel to it. It's a little dark on the left and the clouds fade out in the upper right but I like it. My experience this year shooting a lot of clouds is that it's hard to get good definition with b&w film. You did well.

Mongooz , what a great idea going with BW. It seems to have inspired.
KA - nice to see you posting in TW3
BCB - great beach set
Mike- the BW kid shots have a wonderful documentary / nostalgia feel.
Lee - you allways do good stuff with BW and candids
Pablo - this was right up your alley.
Jimbo- I'm not often impressed by landscapes but Morning Breaks is super. BTW I saw a big print on canvas very simillar to Abstract Trees win at a recent art show. The difference and I'm not sure how it was done but she cloned in a deer peering through the abstract forest.

Have not had an opportunity to shoot anymore this week so I'll close out with a few taken at the beginning.

Mike - Those pano's are superb. Excellent work putting them together.

Here are 3 B&W to add to this week's collection.

DRN - In the first two, I'm feeling like I'm in 1950's scifi horror movie. Great macro and POV on those, wow!

Nice work Frank. I like the first two a lot. Great angle on the first one! The tonalities on these are really good.

I know I already said this earlier, but I'll say it again: I love this week's B&W theme! It's really brought out some unique photos.

So here are some modest contributions from me. These first 3 are in B&W:

In the realm of "better late than never", here's a few. Certainly no competition for Mike's fantastic skylines, "family photos" (quotes since they are so far beyond this), and that hay rake. Or Frank and Tim's fantastic contrasty shots. And DR's in depth look at insects. :-)

The Indian and the Dog

Flowers by the Fence

I'll toss in 2 more abstracts. Water droplets on a spiderweb.

Color or B&W - which do you like?

this week is officially over.

so, thanks to everyone who has contributed....there have been a bunch of really cool pics, and i'm not entirely sure i want to be the one to have to choose.

i'm hoping, barring any unforseen events....to have the results tomorrow evening.

again...thanks to all whom have participated.

Mongooz - good luck with the sorting this thing out.

Frank - I like both of the two shots for different reasons about the same.

Thanks very much. It's greatly appreciated. I have to admit, I like shooting abstracts.
