wow Jimbo, those first three are among your very best work - good thing you are hosting, lol!! "Let There Be Light" has the perfect mix of sky water and greenery and the light is fantastic!

well the fall colors are starting to pop in some places and i saw this little scene as i was walking some trails this morning. YES....i did arange the leaves a bit for effect, but they were all just laying very close by.

Looks like we are off to a great start. Mongooz, looks like fall has arrived. Really like the colors in the first one. Mike, you can stop any time throwing those beautiful images up of "The Bridge" Great Pano... the lighting is prefect! Keep them coming folks. JIM

The leaves in your neck of the woods have really turned colour. Great pic Mongooz!

The clouds are funky too.

Are you using a CP filter? Just curious.

yes on the CP filter, and on the leaves i also had a Neutral Density #4 filter on top of the CP filter. it's a trick i use to get the sky to remain nice and deep blue, but still show the colors nicely, when it's a very bright sunny day. keeps the sky from washing out. but you still need to kind of keep the sun behind you so you don't blind the lens.

Mongooz - Nice close focus on the leaves and shrooms

Went to the NC Seafood Festival today and put the 17-35 on for in close work. As we walked toward the main stage I was drawn to the music only to find that the first act of the day was Decyfer Down.I had my boys keep track of their little sister and proceeded to work my way toward the stage with my inappropriately wide lens. Sometimes ya gotta play with what ya brung , especially when the other lenses are in the truck a couple miles away!
These are pretty heavily cropped and my attempts to get a shot of the drummer were to little avail. Not exactly Jim Marshall stuff but hey I was there.




For those who never heard ..... these are some local boys that made the bigtime
