After much gazing and admiring at all these gorgeous submissions, I eventually settled on blackcloudbrew's First Light on Black Mountain as this week's outstanding submission. There's a lot to love about that picture, but most importantly, I think it's the one that would look best featured on the front page of FPZ

Well, gosh darn it, thanks FP for this honor. Jimbo and your comments on this shot really made me think on this shot. I think it will have a future involving printing large and hung on a wall of mine. It was a special morning on Valentines Day in a special place for me. Thanks.
Great job hosting FP as usual and excellent analysis. Thanks. I was quite interested in your picks of the submissions this TW3, good eye and excellent work by all. I'd have been happy to see any of them as winners too. Thanks and on to TW3.68 |

Congrats to Tim on having the winning photo this week; it's a real stunner!
Tranquility Supreme! And thanks to our fearless leader FP for a great hosting job this week. I'm glad you liked my snap of the boy and the chicken wire taken in a remote village in the mountains of Nicaragua. |

Your village images were really really excellent. I sometimes wish I had some talent for shooting people but they move more than landscapes...anyway it was a treat to see those.

Great summary and choice(s) to sum up the week! congrats to Tim for an inspiring image
Just want to add that in my last post the last two submissions were actually taken by anonymous model, it was this weekend and I was mostly shooting film so I gave her the digital for a spin with a manual lens, thought her about catch focus and voila, I got some free spontaneous photos from somebody else's eyes, how cool is that? on the last one I did a little treatment but no cropping. |
