Ok, time to go through the images for the week. I have been on both sides and I can tell you not hosting is way easier then hosting. Throw a few shots up and wait it out where hosting, you have to choose three out of 20-30 execellent submissions. Not a easy task with this group.
Big breath.... Mike F: Not only did I sell you a lens, which you still haven't used, it makes me mad everytime I see your work. Why wasn't I there shooting be side you. You sure know how to get the most out of the areas you shoot. "No Picnic" not only was a great image but the story behind Salton Sea was both interesting and shocking. What a waste. We are hell bent on killing this place we call home!! Then you disappear for a few days the throw up "The Delta" Ok, upset again! Mike leaves again for two days and comes back with two red Moon shots over his favorite bridge just to throw it in ones face again! Thank you!!! Tim: AKA Earl... I think you have grown more in the last two months then the rest of the time I have viewed your work. Every week you put execellent work up there. After seeing the colored image of the boat, the B&W works way better IMO. The crop works perfectly. "High Ride is one of my daughters favorites of the week. Too many good images to go through. WOW!!! Pablo, your B&W's take time to look through as there is so much information there. Good images make you think and tell a story as each of yours do each week. "Unban Reflection" Print that one for sure. Thank you for sharing your part of the world with us!! Spucehill: Your shots I look forward to. I find them very Artsy... You push the limits everytime and that is rare in this small group of clickers. "Tree Clouds & Moonlight" have a interesting look to it. All I ask is post more shots. Would love to see more of that talent each week. Frank: for someone under the weather not bad. Really love the colors in the Sunset photo's and hand held! I don't see many of those type of sunsets where I live. The one I am still trying to figure out is the "Donkey". It is one of those "What Happens in Vegas things"? We don't want to know.... Tiff: A good dog shot will always get the pet folks wound up. "Monto Otto" looks like a old wise dog.. JS: after finding out that there were no chicken shooting going on the "Concentration" shot was way nicer to look at. RoseMary: Pure talent, that's all I have to say. HOH HOT AND HOT again!! You make women look Beautiful and thank you for sharing some of your work each week. I am sure I left a few images out but man I need my rest! Now for my top three of the week Third Place goes to Spucehill's "Three Clouds & Moonlight" WOW Second Place: "Urban Reflection" by Pablo. So simple but powerful. Well done First Place: I had to think hard on two images and when they are by the same guy, that makes it even more challenging. Mike F... Red Moon Pano Shot was a stand out for me. Yes the other was good but in the end I asked "Which one would I print" and that was the one for me. Done! Great work everyone. Cheers JIMBO |
