Lovin' those big guns BCB! That ship is just perfect for the fisheye.

Here's a few. Finally a bit of colour in the yard.

JS: great looking flower shots. This times of year the colors really pop. Like the softness of the last one. Keep them coming. JIMBO

Ok, the first was shot with myt D700 and the second with my new D7000, hand held. I need the extra grip for the D7000. Feels too small in my hands. Cheers and Happy Mothers day. JIMBO

Nice start over the weekend.

Jeff: I really like what you did with the dandelion in Dandy, and Tim, loving the 16 inchers in HDR monochrome. That really works.

Mike, as long as nothing got confiscated... and I actually really like the look of the fog rolling in that shot.

Jimbo: the D7000 is interesting, and wow, that is very nice of you to shave your head as well. I'm sure your friend appreciates it. :-)

RM: Wow... that is a magazine shot.

Here's one from the Burlington, VT waterfront. It took me 8 shots to get the light on. :D

Timing is everything and your persistence paid off!
Nice Lighthouse shot.

Somewhere on the net is a website dedicated to lighthouses in North America; I just forget where. Way-back-when I contributed a B&W image of the Killarney lighthouse and it was accepted. Maybe that website is still around - just sayin'. ;)

Nice family portrait! Mine has some silver lenses mingling carelessly amongst the blacks, it's naughty. However there's been a recent departure from that family, the black 15mm Limited had to go live with someone else :~( I'll miss him. There may be another casualty or two within the next couple months.

(not for judging)

Tuesday my brother took us out to see Star Wars Identities, an exhibition at the Montreal Science Center running through September. It was a neat experience, even for Star Wars non-fans like me. There were a lot of original props and costumes used in filming all 6 movies, along with a flimsy but fun psychological theme to tie it all together. A great time was had by all.

Princess Leia's Slave Outfit from Return Of The Jedi

Some Alien's Head from some movie (forgot to take note of what I was taking pictures of sometimes)

and my personal favourite...

You guys ought to be shot for post lens porn like that. Sorry about your loss FP, wish it would have gone to me it's the one I want and can't afford right now.

Excellent museum shots! It's always hard to get the subjects framed and the lighting right. You nailed them all and the pod racer is my fav. Well done.

Star Wars Identities was a fun little event, I would recommend it for fans and non-fans alike if you get the chance. I found the glaring lights made it difficult to get really interesting shots, so I tried to practice portraiture mostly.

tiffpix's pictures show an interesting difference with my own results from the same event. Where I went with a wider lens (21mm) to try and capture some of the display backgrounds, she went with a longer lens (43mm) to focus on the subjects more. As a side benefit, her pictures show fewer light reflections than mine do.

I've also got a few Montreal pictures from before and after our visit to the exhibit:

Ominous

Streetwalkers

Hands Up!

And to round out my set of 4, a reworked Church Street picture from a couple weeks ago. Instead of featuring the street and tree illumination, I tried to crop it to bring the focus to the subjects on the street.
