My best friend is dating a Forensics police officer, so when something not so nice happens he's the first one she talks to. Since I'm his best friend I'm next in line (although I'm never told anything more than what happened), and I can't say anything until the press releases their statement, and even then it's just... So I heard.
Well, I got the phone call this morning, around an hour earlier than normal saying Hi. Except this time I was told about them having gotten woken up for her to get to work.
She had to investigate this.

I understand that she got home from that assignment very late, and had to leave for her normal days work a couple of hours later.
I honestly don't know how she can do it, but she does a good job.

Peachland is usually the quietest, friendliest place that you'll ever find, with mostly upper middle class people living there. So it'll sure be a shock to that community.

It's sad for you guys up there that something like that can happen and shock people. Unfortunately where I live, it would be considered a slow day. I can't wait to get away from the city.

I suppose I should consider myself lucky that I live in a place where a murdered teenager all the way across the continent is still considered shocking and upsetting as opposed to "a slow day". I was born and raised in Montreal, and even when I lived there, such events were extremely rare and shocked everyone.

Here's the article in the Vancouver Province paper, with a pic of my friends girlfriend.

must've been some hot guy if these girls were willing to stab each other over him. I never incited that kind of reaction from girls in high school

I remember hearing these stories on daytime TV around 10 years ago. Teenage girls were slashing each other with razor blades over guys. I don't get it.. being a teenager is hard enough without worrying you might be maimed and/or killed.

In my opinion, No guy is worth it. Neither is any woman.
