TOPIC: My apologies to everyone here at the new FPZ

Re: My apologies to everyone here at the new FPZ 8 years 1 month ago #31

I've bought 3 lenses, 2 remotes and a flash from the marketplace. I'm always looking to buy more!! About every 4 months we get a bonus and I like to get myself something with it. This time it was the flash. I'm still looking for more...

Right at the moment I'm looking for a hood for my Quantaray 28-90mm lens. Any suggestions before I throw my "want" list on that "other site"?

Look at the cheapo rubber ones on Amazon, they are under ten dollars. Mr Pink has been using one on his 55-300 and he mentioned he was going to get more for some of his other lenses.

That's all that I'll buy, and they've never left me down. There are 2 stores with them here for around $5.00

Yeah, I saw the ones on Amazon, but didn't know if they were worth it or not. I've never seen them up close.

Yes I use a few of these... they are like 5 or 6 bucks depending on size. There are more expensive ones with harder rubber, but these seem to work ok for me. They are not "solid" so if you put the camera down they bend a bit. But pop right back when you pick it up.

I also use after market metal ones on some of my primes like the Jupiter 9 and Cosina 55 1.2 just for extra protection.

I dont know what size the filter is on the quantaray lens... but just type the filter size and rubber or metal hood in the search bar.
