Ok, here are a few from this weekend. Still have a few hundred the process. As you can see the weather has been all over the map. Cheers JIMBO

Oh JIMBO, that eagle looks like he is trying to decide if you would make a tasty meal! Nice image!
I so love how dramatic your first image is.

Three more. Will hold off on the other three until later in the week. Don't want to feel to pushy. JIM

DRN - what is that thing? A shell? Nest? Critter? I'm confused about it. (Like the shot though.)

FP - you are putting that DA70 through the paces. Part of me wishes I never sold mine but that's ok, the Samsung 12-24 f4 I got in return has been what I wanted much more often. Anyway, Love the vise shot as it combines one of my favorite subjects (rust) with and interesting shot. Might make a good b&w image too. The third shot is nice too, rust again one of my favs.

Pablo - I've never seen a critter like that and now I've seen one three times on the same page. I thin the third one is the best of the bunch. Nicely done.

Jimbo - your first, third, and fourth images are killer. Not sure which is my fav but it's a toss up between the three of those. Love the selective lighting on the leaves. Very nice effect. Well done.

Well, the follow up on the cauliflower saga is that Sunday my wife pick it (it took about 10 minutes and is the biggest cauliflower I've ever seen. We will be eating all this week.

Judgment Day

and in a similar vein here is my final portfolio for presentation tomorrow night in my film class, a dozen 8x10's, four of which I mounted in 16x20 matts. I've never cut my own matts before, totally stressful. Amanda gave me some pointers (thanks AmandaPanda).

Final Project

Last Saturday in Petaluma where I used to live, they had their annual American Graffiti Cruise-In. That's because, if any of you remember that movie, Petaluma is where they filmed the nighttime cruising scenes and other parts of the movie. Anyway, rather than young movie stars driving and riding in the old cars, now it's more like old guys and their mommas now but the cars are all tricked out and in great shape. Here are a few shot from the cruise-in.

Cruise-in the Boulevard.

Famous Car - this was supposed to be the hot rod used by the character John Milner in the movie.

Great shots everyone!

Tim: I think I like Apricots the best of all so far, but really liking those hot rods and the cauliflower saga. Good luck with your class submissions!

Pablo: Cool shots! I've heard of a Rock Hyrax (zoo games) but never seen a pictures. Are they very elusive? Or common?

Jimbo: Love Black Fog, Dancing Light is very interesting as well

DR: Is that a cocoon? Like your DOF on that one, nice capture.

FP: Lawnman is a great, well composed shot!

Still stuck in VT and left my card reader at home over the weekend. I'll figure something out to get some pics up.

It's pretty common around here in the desert, usually they are elusive but this guy didn't mind me at all, he came by, did his thing and went away.
