Last Saturday in Petaluma where I used to live, they had their annual American Graffiti Cruise-In. That's because, if any of you remember that movie, Petaluma is where they filmed the nighttime cruising scenes and other parts of the movie. Anyway, rather than young movie stars driving and riding in the old cars, now it's more like old guys and their mommas now but the cars are all tricked out and in great shape. Here are a few shot from the cruise-in.

Famous Car - this was supposed to be the hot rod used by the character John Milner in the movie.

Hey Pablo. I'm really diggin' your funky critters.
First there's a rabbit/gopher - let's call it a rab-pher; then there's a goat/antelope - let's call it a goat-a-lope.
And you're telling us that these beasts are in the wild?
Very cool!

Makes our moose look very mundane and pedestrian. :~(
They're just big cows that grow lumber out of their heads.

Jimbo, you've really got something there with the light on the leaves.
I like that a lot.

Light is everything and that is perfect.

Due to some serious health and private concerns, lostminstrel had to take an extended leave of absence. It's not certain if he'll return. If he does, the earliest he'd be back is months from now. His presence on FPZ (and elsewhere on the interwebs) is greatly missed.

That is very concerning. LM please receive a wish of health and well being for you and your loved ones from your admirer in israel. Hoping this will reach you.

We took a trip to Smuggler's Notch yesterday. I took a lot of pictures, hope these aren't too dark.

Really cool rock formations

FP - another nice set of shots there. I'm loving the rusty bent thing shot for its selective focus effort. Really nice work on that. The tower is fun too (dude, you got yourself one heck of a yard there!). I wish I had a tower in my back yard! Nice. The red/green shot is a nice study in color. Well done all. The first is my fav.

TP - the direct answer to your question is that I don't think those are too dark. I like the first shot best as it reminds me of a lot of quite places in the east I've hiked in. Nice effort too.
