Those shots are real nice Jimbo.

But sadly every time I see your beautiful images it reminds me that my little corner of our wonderful planet is really ugly. :(

Jimbo....are you doing the HDR thing, with layered images?? that last one was extremely sharp, that's why i ask. they look great.

here's three i shot today out in the woods. as you can tell, i've been playing with the black & white thing, mostly because we're moving into winter and a lot of the time a color image begins to just look depresing.:p

Thank you for the comments guys. Even with a over casr sky I was able to bring out the Blue Berry fields.

Mongooz. No HDR's were used on any of these images. A little sharpening on Nik Software and small adjustment in Levels and I was done. Took only a few minutes to process. I really like the last image you posted. Looks so peaceful. I love shooting when it is snowing. JIMBO

Jimbo - i LOVE the 2nd blueberry field (vertical shot). that is an amazing backdrop as RM said!! lots of pop on your colors. I also love Rocky Sky. All components work well in the composition.

Mongooz - GREAT job on the monos. I prefer #2 "Looking Thru" for its density and huge DOF. the mono conversion is very nice and really accentuates the textures of snowy branches. I am loving the tree trunks in the very back. also, brilliant framing with the dark branch hanging down.

I got up early to shoot something and discovered my part of the bay was totally socked in with fog. I drove to Sausalito and it was mostly clear with a fog bank hanging low. by the time i got in place and set up my gear, it had mostly cleared and i got a couple of sunrise shots. Here's the first. I went with TUNGSTEN white balance for the blue cool look, hope nobody minds that.

Morning Tranquility

I was set up on a wood deck and as joggers would go past, they shook my exposures and i had to keep re-firing. Now looking at most of my takes, their almost ALL motion blurred. dang!

But Jeff, hasn't Edward Burtynsky made a name for himself with shots of the nickel mines?

You forgot Mongooz, those B&Ws are fantastic shots. I love the strong contrast and your subjects.

Mike: Brilliant shot, I love that colour, it doesn't seem possible that you can do that with a camera.

Jimbo: Your landscapes are amazing, like others, especially Blueberry field really gets me.

Glad you're all posting some great work, makes me feel less guilty about having no time to shoot lately. Hopefully by the 24th.
