After recently watching the movie "Bridemaid" I wasn't sure coming in second was great though Tim, it was one nice image. Definately picked up your game as of late. Not sure if I will add photo's this week at so many new ones are similar to what you already have seen. Below is one I took on Sunday where I was trying to show the full range of B&W [ZONE SYSTEM]

I would ask the question here, which of these three do you feel is the best image? Also, I'm only going to call this one submission and will judge it depending on your answer to my question. I can't really punish you for responding to my comments.

definitely the last one is my favourite. It looks more foggy and mysterious.

Wow, Jim, don't stop posting on my account. That is an uplifting image and has great tonalities. It's a color image right? I'm not good at counting zones but it clearly looks like you've got them all there, nicely done. The composition has that wonderful touch of the sunrays at the top that just draw you right through the image to the happy top. Very well done.

I'm with you on that too. :tu: Thanks for working that a bit.

Ok, I will throw a few more up. Here are three more from Sunday. The last one is a wider view of the Black Wooded Shot. [not to be used] Cheers JIM

I like this one the best. There is a bit more detail in the foreground that helps pull your eye into the image. I am not also drawn immediately to the sun either in this version :)

it always surprises me how a tiny little change can affect the way our eye moves through a picture.

I'm no expert but two experiences in the last few years have made me 'see' better. The first was in Death Valley in a landscape photography workshop. The Photographer showed us how moving the camera about a foot, looking at the same terrain made the image go from blah to wow! The second was last year in photo lab where my instructor sent me back into the dark room a number of times on one difficult image until all of the image was visible and balanced.

What I now see in your latest version is that the sun is shining on the foreground grass/hay stuff. The light goes right through the image very nicely now. Yep, little changes can make a big difference.

I should acknowledge my wife for that picture, who sent me a text message on her way to work this morning stating: "Go to the farm across the road with your camera". Sure enough, there was a picture to be found there!

A smart husband (and I can say that as one who has been married 40 years to the same woman), always acknowledges everything to his wife.

That shot did turn out very well! Mine were all junk, but maybe it will be foggy again tomorrow.

Jimbo: I like Black Wood a lot, nice reflection.

Rosemary: I can see the difference in the leg, it's definitely better in the 2nd shot.

This TW3 seems to be about changes and differences.
I too can see the difference in the thighs of the lovely lady.
It's subtle, but there.

And FP's repetitive dreamy fog shot has differences too.
I'll go with the crowd and agree that the third image is the best.
I know there is something different about it but just can't seem to put my finger on it.
Maybe someone else can help me spot the difference.
