Fun additions Frank. I'm kinda wondering what's the backstory on the backhoes in the lake. It looks wrong. Whoa, you have matching (sorta) Audi? Way cool.

The neighbours a few houses down are having their shoreline repaired. Probably some leftover damage from last year's floods. The water level is currently sitting about 2 feet higher than normal (because of the Spring melt), so the backhoe is running on the submerged part of the beach. It's pretty neat to watch, but it was even neater to see it drive down there. There's almost nowhere those things can't go.

Yes, we both have Audis now. She has a '99 A6 sedan, and I have an '01 A4 wagon. Good thing I'm a decent mechanic... they require a lot of love and attention. But the driving experience is unmatched and well worth it :D And now I have something a little more nimble than a 3/4 ton diesel pickup to get to remote photo locations!

(although we're keeping the 3/4 ton diesel pickup, it's far too useful to get rid of)

Oh my Rosemary! You have an amazing talent! Those ladies look so sexy yet definitely retain their dignity. Wow!

Frank, I am sorry I'm not there to see your new car. It looks so much nicer on your driveway than when I saw it on the lot last week. I know you are going to enjoy it immensely. Just my humble critical opinion but I think if the front tyre were turned in the opposite direction it would look - I don't know - better. Like it was eager to go! I wish I had been there to see the big diggers going at your neighbors break wall! The operators of those machines are absolute wizards with the controls!

Love your snowy mountain Jim, the balance between the foreground and background is excellent as is the sharpness of that image. Well done.

Here are several of mine from yesterday's rainy shoot on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay.

well, finally got something to shoot today. it's certainly taken long enough.

in a local metro park (3000 acres) they did some "controlled burns" to get the underbrush under control. they do this every year in different locations within the park. well i saw this group of mushrooms that managed to survive the burn but were slightly singed.

Those 'shrooms look positively neon - verging on toxic!

Great pic; I love it!

Jimbo: I love Opening Light, but Peaceful Rise doesn't grab me in the same way despite being in almost the same location. Perhaps the colouration and the clouds in OL just make it that much more somehow?

Mongooz: cool 'shrooms! That's an interesting shot and story.

BCB: Perfect angle on the Burning Man sculpture, excellent shot.

FP: Skinny Dipping has excellent processing, almost like B&W film, great contrast and effect. And nice shot of my car! hehe

RM: Yes, both edits really make those shots even more beautiful than they already were. Ashley should be one happy client, and your next shot has even more of that soft, sexy boudoir about it. Very nice.
