FPZ 2.0

Some of you may have noticed a reduced level of participation in the forums recently. Don't worry, this isn't a sign of declining interest on our part! We're taking the lessons learned from our current FPZ setup, and overhauling the site to give members an improved experience. One with greater collaboration between members, an improved way of sharing pictures, and more streamlined shootouts and contests.

Among the highlights will be a brand new, full-featured, dedicated Critique application to benefit all levels of photographers, from beginners to seasoned professionals. This overhaul also includes more "hooks" to allow easier development of new features we have planned for the future. Things like member blogs, a photographers' directory, and a community-written set of photography guides. In the meantime, we encourage all FPZ members to continue helping us grow. Participation in the forums helps create content which attracts new members to FPZ.

If you're interested in seeing this new site develop before we officially launch it, you can follow its progress. Please note that registrations and logins are disabled on the development site, so you can only view it as a guest. It's in rough shape right now, but it will evolve rapidly. Tentative launch for the new FPZ is set for the end of December. Hopefully, we'll be ringing in the new year with a brand spankin' new FPZ and attracting all kinds of new members to our community.

Sensational Traditional Wides Results

Afer a long judging period, the results for the Sensational Traditional Wides Shootout are finally in! You can see the results here. Congratulations to Friendly Photon, DamnRedneck and mikeSF on their first-place finishes. And a heartfelt thanks to blackcloudbrew for organizing the event.
