Delayed NewsletterOops, looks like we skipped a month (July) with the FPZ Monthly-ish Newsletter. Good thing it's called the "Monthly-ish Newsletter" and not the "Rigid Schedule Monthly Newsletter"! We have no valid excuse for the tardiness except that the newsletter editor was very busy and let time get away from him. Floggings will be administered. Results From The FPZ Marvelous May Macro/CF ShootoutOur latest experiment with the contest voting system was a resounding success, with unprecedented participation by all members in casting their votes. Thanks to the large number of votes, we ended up with some clear winners in every category. The results page can be found on this page. Here's a quick summary: In the Color category, the runaway winner was mikeSF's Beeside, with almost 50% of the votes:
In the Black and White category, the winner was blackcloudbrew's Threads:
In the What in the Wide World of Sports is That? category, the winner was sf_frank's Fuzzy:
And finally, in the Overall category, the clear winner was (once again) mikeSF's Beeside:
For his win in the Overall category, mikeSF chose a Tamron 2X K-mount teleconverter from among the treasure trove being offered. This shootout was dedicated to our lost friend, lostminstrel. Big thanks to DamnRedneck for organizing this shootout and providing the prize. TW3 #51 Is Underway!Don't forget, submissions for the current TW3 end on August 8th at midnight (your local time).
